District Night Hike

Hi All

Our new term starts on Friday 24th July with the District night hike. This year we are Hiking around the suburb of Farrarmere. Please see attached flyer (below) for more information.

Cubs will be placed in teams and will be required to push a wheel barrow from base to base while cooking in it as they go. This will require a wheel barrow per team. Is anyone able to help out with the loan of a wheelbarrow. The light weight garden type would be preferable.

Please contact me if you can help.

Children who are in the other school system are welcome to join us after school for the afternoon. We are also encouraging them to bring a buddie for the day to let them experience cubs for themselves with an aim to growing our numbers. An invitation has been attached for the purpose. A few requests for Friday

Hi All

Could all cubs who have a pair of Gumboots please bring them on Friday as we are going to attempt some gum boot dancing.

Our program is about different cultures and I would like to request if that those cubs working at Gold Wolf level (9 & 10yr olds) could please find out a little something about a different culture other than their own. So that they can come and tell their group about what they know.

And Lastly:

As the weather has now turned to winter. Cubs may wear track suit trousers over their uniform to keep warm, however I expect them to be able to take them off and have uniform trousers underneath for the short period of opening and closing ceremonies. This will be until further notice.

Regards,

Akela Lorna
